"A man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh." (Matthew 19:5)
MARRIAGE is seen as a gift from God. We hold firmly to what Bible and tradition teaches, and that is, that it is a life-long, faithful union between a man and a woman. The Bible compares married love with the love Jesus has for his people – a love expressed in his willing sacrifice of himself on the cross.
Initial contacts with the vicar will discuss things like eligibility—can you get married in the Parish etc, and what it all means and how we can help you build a strong marriage.

'Repent and be baptised, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.' Acts 2:38-39
BAPTISM, from the earliest days of the Christian Church - following repentance and faith - has been the way in which people become Christians. As the body of believers (the Church) grew, this was also extended to the children of believing parents.
Those requesting baptism are therefore asked to come and get to know us by attending church and learning about why the Christian faith is such Good News for them, their families and the world in which we live. We regret we are unable to baptise anyone who is unwilling to meet these simple conditions.
Please let us have your address and/or email and we will forward you details of how to proceed.
